Raya Britanishka (nee Kendzierska) and her brother Leon (Lola) Kendzierski grew up and lived in Vilna, Lithuania. They used to visit Wizna and their family there during summer breaks and holidays, after their mother Raszka (nee Goldman) remarried Eliyahu Avraham Gostkowski of Wizna.
